Protecting Colorado’s Stable Medical Liability Climate

Colorado’s medical liability climate has remained stable over the last twenty years. The CAFP has been an active advocate for members on this issue year after year. However, this year we know that Colorado trial lawyers have proposed two ballot measures threatening Colorado’s medical liability climate, aiming to eliminate caps on damages in Colorado and remove peer review confidentiality protections. These measures could escalate liability insurance costs for healthcare providers, impacting accessibility and affordability for patients statewide.

CAFP has joined the coalition Coloradans Protecting Patient Access (CPPA) to fight back with ballot countermeasures and proactive policies at the State Capitol (SB24-130), but we need your support! Please consider helping us to raise critical funds to fuel a robust statewide response to the larger medical liability attacks.*
