On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, we will be hosting a live, virtual CME session about implicit bias.
Implicit Bias Training
The learning objectives are:
- Define what implicit bias is and how it works;
- Understand how implicit bias plays a role in healthcare, everyday life and the work of CAFP.
- Normalize the fact that we are all biased while striving to be better.
- Learn and discuss strategies to reduce implicit bias.
The presenter is Roxi Radi, MD, MPH. Dr. Radi provides primary care through Denver Health’s Lowry Family Medicine FQHC, and is very passionate about the patients and community she serves. Dr. Radi is also a Public Health Faculty Fellow, and continues to provide full-spectrum care through Denver Health while pursuing her MPH in Health Systems, Policy and Management. Dr. Radi has volunteered in the healthcare systems of China, Chile and Kenya and is passionate about using her skills and experiences to improve the health of all Americans, especially the undeserved in Colorado. As a Suboxone provider in a primary care setting, she is committed to finding ways to promote and fund these services as the front line of the opioid epidemic.

The AAFP has reviewed Implicit Bias and deemed it acceptable for up to 2.00 Online Only, Live AAFP Prescribed credit. Term of Approval is from 07/28/2021 to 07/28/2021. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
