Civic Engagement with Vot-ER
The AAFP is partnering with Vot-ER, which elevates the connections between voting and health. Vot-ER has built out a campaign around voter education and awareness, with the goal of driving more physicians toward greater civic engagement and creating opportunities for clinicians to be a conduit to patients who want to register to vote. Vot-ER is a nonpartisan nonprofit with a mission to build a healthier democracy by integrating civic engagement into health care.
Tuesday, September 17 is National Voter Registration Day, a great opportunity to check your own voter registration and help your patients register with a free, nonpartisan badge, which has a unique QR code to take patients to a nonpartisan, informational website in order to check their own status and register to vote.
There’s a lot family physicians like you can do to make your voice and the voices of your patients heard.
