CAFP’s Bill to Combat Mental Health Stigma for Physicians Passes House Committee
CAFP’s priority legislation, HB25-1176, which concerns reducing the stigma of behavioral health treatment for medical practitioners, passed out of the House Health and Human Services Committee with strong bipartisan support (12-1) Tuesday. A huge thank you to all our family physicians and coalition partners who provided written, in-person, and virtual testimony in support of this critical bill. We will update members when the full House is preparing to vote on the bill.
Additionally, our other priority bill, SB25-083, concerning limitations on restrictive employment agreements, has been scheduled for its first hearing next Thursday, March 6, in the Senate Business, Labor, and Technology Committee. Members who live or work in the district of a Legislator on that committee can expect a Speak Out soon encouraging you to share your support of the bill.
